Our Philosophy

Orita Sinclair is not your average local art/design school.
We believe in doing things differently — all to your advantage.

Small Class Size

All our programmes have a low teacher-to-student ratio. This will facilitate an open, discussion-driven, caring and supportive learning environment.

Taught By Industry Professionals

Industry professionals drive a hands-on studio practice: all Orita Sinclair’s educators are practicing designers or artists. This means that you learn practical skills and glean worthwhile advice from real designers and artists of varying disciplines.

Always On Trend

We stay on top of the latest design and market trends and believe that our curriculum should be current, flexible and value-adding. We formed an Industry Design Council, which comprises some influential designers, to ensure that what we teach will be relevant, current and industry-relevant.

Portfolio-Driven Curriculum

Orita Sinclair believes that design, media and the arts education should be portfolio driven. Projects briefs in class are designed to simulate client briefs in the real world. A substantive portfolio will place you in good stead with prospective clients and employers.

Student Commitee

In Orita Sinclair, we aim to provide our students with a holistic educational experience. Besides scheduled lessons, there is much that students can learn from one another and beyond the class rooms. The Student Committee was formed in Feb 2014. It aims to organize and facilitate student activities outside of curricular time in order to broaden students learning and to foster social interaction between students from both the Design Communications- and the Music Production and Audio Engineering Departments. The Committee also acts as a bridge between the students and School Management team, where continuous feedback can be given by both parties for continuous improvements.
