In this module, students will be taught to listen analytically to the differences in tone of mixes of popular songs from the 60’s to present day. A detailed exploration will be made of the tones of each individual instrument from bass drum to cymbals, from guitar to vocals in these mixes so as to prepare students with a right sonic mindset and mixing ear for mixing modules to come.
