Advance Diploma in New Media Art

The Advance Diploma in New Media Art will provide students the opportunity to specialize in Animation, Video, Digital Film Production and Web Design.

The duration of the Advance Diploma in New Media Art is twenty four weeks and is created to bring students to a higher level in an area of specialization in New Media while saving time and expense.

The aim of this Diploma is to provide advanced training and education to students who seek further development and preparation for the creative digital media industry. At the end of the course, students will have developed a creative and professional portfolio showcasing works that are industry viable.

Like the Diploma course, the Advance Diploma is designed to fulfill the needs of today's growing industry of media experts and those whose ambition is to use technology to create content and to anticipate its future.

During the course, students will make proposals for projects and develop creative content through them. They will have the control and responsibility of their projects with the guidance and supervision of their lecturers. Project based studying is a very important part of this course.

The curriculum is developed to allow equal opportunities for further technical, conceptual and creative development. The teaching process aims to lead students through acquiring further knowledge, skills and techniques thus bringing their area of specialization to a higher level.

Students will be taught by professionals from art education and industry. Classes will be conducted in two studios, sound space and multi-purpose gallery with all the necessary facilities to conduct the course.

Upon successful completion of the Advance Diploma programme, graduates who are Singaporeans or Singaporean permanent residents may apply to the Media Authority Development (MDA) for a grant from the Media Education Scheme that would enable them to further their studies locally or overseas .
