Advanced Diploma in Design Communication
THE PROGRAMME
Advanced Design Communication Diploma is a 9 months in-class learning + 3 months internship/live project programme with 520 hours (excluding internship) of intensive training and personal in-studio mentoring.

in your design education, the Advanced Diploma places you in an environment where you are exposed to scenarios such as understanding market trends, assessing client briefs, thinking on your feet – all to ensure that you are well-prepared to work in a design studio and wow your future employers. The average teacher-to-student ratio is 1:12.

THE FINAL OUTCOME
is a graduate with an outstanding creative portfolio, one who has been closely mentored by highly experienced creative professionals and ready for the design industry.
Modules
Branding
Synopsis:
Focuses on developing brand strategies for industries ranging from F&B to non-profit organisations.
Objectives:
This module aims to provide students with the opportunity to understand the designer’s role when developing individual components that form the corporate image and its functions in the company. Students will learn to design cohesive brand identities for a product or service. Students will understand how a corporate identity is influenced by a company’s business objectives.
Research Skills & Methodology I
Synopsis:
Focuses on visual communication in the changing social environment in Singapore. Students will discuss art and design trends that contribute to the information communicated to the society.
Objectives:
This module is designed to emphasize on Creation through visual research and experimentation. Students must be able to identify changes in design trends in Singapore and work on a collaborative project that critically reviews and evaluate current social behaviors and human relationships.

Synopsis:

Internship / Live Project
Synopsis:
Students will take on an internship and will be mentored by highly experienced industry experts. This module will enable the student to work together with creative directors, art directors and other project managers, which will in turn develop the student’s conceptual and execution skills within a live studio environment. NOTE: In the event whereby training work permit is not granted, we will offer “Live Project” as an alternative for internship placement.
Objectives:
Entry Requirements
- Diploma in Design Communication or equivalent.
- Portfolio.
- Minimum 16 years of age.
- A pass in any 3 subjects (inclusive of English*) at ‘O’ Level or equivalent.
- For applicants who do not meet requirement 2. or 4., a placement test is administered before an applicant can be enrolled into this course. Entry into the course is dependent on results of the placement test. Applicants with substantial industry practice will be interviewed and attended to on a case by case basis.
