Diploma in Interaction Design

The Programme

The mission of Orita Sinclair is to develop students into bold and imaginative professionals in the pursuit of their ambitions. The Diploma in Interaction Design aims to provide an all-rounded, interdisciplinary design education through excellence in teaching through creative and innovative design practices, and building students’ portfolios. The Design Department is committed to creating an open-minded and creative atmosphere to pursue research and discover collaborative practices that nurture students’ potential through active engagement and participation in the small class size setting. Our graduates understand where knowledge comes from and how to integrate them to influence the art and design and communication. At the end of the course, graduates will be ready to take on a wide range of roles in the creative industry—digital design, user experience design, data visualisation, and motion graphics.

Full-Time – 12 Months Diploma Programme

Part-Time – 18 Months Diploma Programme

The Learning Experience

A 12-Month full-time diploma programme that covers hard and soft skills through small-class-size lectures and practical workshops taught by industry practitioners who have their ears to the design ground, and hearts eager to impart.

The Final Outcome

A dynamic and creative designer who is inquisitive, multi-talented and highly trained. You will find yourself in-demand and able to meet any challenge in a new and evolving industry.

Entry Requirements

For Singaporeans: For International Students:
  1. Minimum 16 years of age.

  2. 3 GCE ‘O’ Level passes grade A to C or grade 1 to 6 in English and two other subjects.

  3. For applicants who do not meet requirement 2., a placement test is administered before an applicant can be enrolled into this course. Entry into the course is dependent on results of the placement test.

  4. Higher NITEC or NITEC Applicants may be required to sit for an interview and an internal English placement test to assess the applicant’s suitability.

Chua Yeeling

Yeeling's professional creer kickstarted 7 years ago in Advertising before trasitioning to Experience/Interaction Design. For the most part, she embarking on this little journey called "Freelancing" and became an independet Designer. Since then, se has been working with various agencies/companies/start-ups/SMEs, while also experiencing in-house/remote working arrengements and all that in-between.

Jade Pang

Adjunct Lecturer, Design Faculty

Diploma in Visual Communication, Commercial and Advertising Art, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts
With 7 years experience in visual digital design, Jade specializes in user experience design with a keenes to articulate the message and strategy behind visual execution through research, analytics, journey mapping and qualitative studies. Jade was part of the digital experience teams of SingTel, HungryGoWhere, SingPost, and Standard Chartered Bank and was involved in kick-starting digital transformation projects. She also won Best Local App and Top Rated App for HungryGoWhere, and World Post & Parcel Award for user experience and interface design of the SingPost SAM kiosk.

Lim Cheng Chong

Adjunct Lecturer, Design Faculty

BA (Hons) in Computing (Computer Science), National University of Singapore
Cheng Chong is an online and offline technology teacher. Finding his passion for computing at a young age, he wrote his first line of code at the age of 10. Throughout the years, he has gained a wealth of experience in learning technology efficiently, having acted as a peer trainer in secondary school and at his alma mater the National University of Singapore. In the present day, he is a highly rated adjunct lecturer at the diploma level in several institutions, and an ACTA-certified adult educator.

Advanced Diploma in Multimedia, Raffles Design Institute
With over 13 years of experience in the video industry, Jackson has been working in his own studio on corporate videos and campaigns with clients such as Marina Bay Sands, Dassault Systemes and NTUC Enterprises. Bringin a storytelling perspective to his work, he is known for creating a nimble and flexible creative team that helps him to bring his visions to life.
