Former Council Chairman of Ngee Ann Polytechnic and former member of Board of Governor of the Institute of Technical Education. He also has vast experience in the transport industry having been the CEO of Trans-Island Bus Services Ltd from 1994 to 2005 and also the Deputy President of SMRT Corporation Ltd from 2003 to 2005.

Served in Ngee Ann Polytechnic for over 30 years and was Deputy Principal from 2007-2013. He was conferred the Public Administration Medal by the President of Singapore in 2006 and the Ministry of Education Award for Outstanding Contributions to Education in 2011 and 2016.
CEO
Founder of ECS Group and had more than 25 years experience in the IT business. He was Former Executive Chairman of ECS Holdings Limited, a public-listed company in Singapore Stock Exchange, and one of the largest IT distribution companies in Asia Pacific.
Prof Lee earned his PhD in Automated Assembly from NTU in 1997. He is the PI of an ontology-augmented, context-aware Web services framework for agile enterprise collaboration funded by A*STAR SERC and the application of the theories of behavior and communicative action to workplace safety funded by the MOM.

Retired Principal of Singapore Polytechnic (2008 – 2012), former Deputy Principal of Ngee Ann Polytechnic (2001 – 2007) and Deputy Director (Higher Education) at Ministry of Education, Singapore (1999 – 2001). He holds a MSc in Technology Management awarded by the University of Manchester – Institute of Science and Technology and a BSc (Engineering) Honours (1st Class) in Computer Science from Imperial College London.
