UX 101 : User Experience Express Course
User experience is the focus of user/consumers’ interactions with a product or service in order to provide an experience that matches their exact needs. To achieve this, the user-centric framework of design thinking is deployed to address complicated or largely unknown problems in product and service development.
A low teacher-to-learner ratio facilitates an open, discussion-driven, and supportive learning environment. The trainer is a practicing designer who directs learning through project briefs that simulate real client needs in order to build a substantive portfolio that place learners in good stead with prospective clients and employers.
Who Should Attend
Primarily, learners with design background in print who are keen to widen their skill set and employability by venturing into user experience.
Secondarily, learners who are keen/curious to understand how design thinking can be applied into user experience.
The design-thinking approach:
- Empathy through user-discovery,
- Defining of scope using user journey mapping,
- Ideation by sketching and prototyping,
- Prototyping with Figma, collaborative interface design tool, and
- Testing functionality and usability.
About the Trainer
Kevin is a multi-disciplinary designer who is active in User Experience Design and Web Development for the past 5 years. He has always been fond of designing and developing digital ideas, products or solutions that are modular and have strong emphasis on clean, playful and usable design.
